My dad was always a big fan of Harry Chapin, most famously know for being the singer of ‘Cats in the Cradle’. He was an amazing story-teller and wrote great songs with a purpose. I’ve found myself listening to him often since my dad passed away 3 years ago. I searched for one of his songs recently, found his bio, and discovered that he was killed in a head on collision when he was only 38 years old.
I was used to hearing about celebrities that have died from drug use and suicide, but I always thought that it would never happen to me. But a head on collision can happen to anyone. A plane crash can happen to anyone. It puts things in perspective of just how fragile and short life can be.
My take away is that you can’t wait for life to happen. If there is something that you plan on doing, then you need to get things in motion, even if you are not sure that you are ready. I believe that many people don’t live their potential because of fear and procrastination. Be brave enough to get out of your comfort zone and start chasing your goals today, before you run out of time!
Never stop believing in yourself! Talk to you soon 🙂
