One thing at a time!

Have you ever read or listened to something that could really change your life?  Have you ever listened to the same thing 3 years later only to realize that you haven’t put the advise into action?

I’ve done it all the time.  I have listened(I’m an auditory learner) to many programs and books from Anthony Robbins, Les Brown, Zig Ziglar, Coach Phil Jackson, Jim Rohn, and that only scratches the surface.  Many hours listening to many things and gaining good ideas along the way.  But when listening again years later, I am disappointed in myself about some of the changes I failed to make.  It was like I challenged myself to read as much as possible, instead of taking the time to really absorb and take action on the things that I’ve learned to create permanent change.

I’ve decided to challenge myself to do just that.  I will take the time to read, complete exercises, and get the most out of the book before I move on to the next one.  I am starting with the book pictured below.  I will keep this book with me at all times and pull it out whenever I have downtime.

Never Stop Believing in yourself!  Talk to you tomorrow 🙂

  1. That’s a great idea to keep it with you and work on it. Don’t be disappointed you could apply changes. You had a lot of outside influences that prevented you from focusing on change. It wasn’t your time yet Dan. Now is your time. Now you have no constraints holding you back accept yourself. Strive everyday to meet one new goal. You must persevere through each new challenge, achieves the small victories, and recognize them. Every small step you take towards change is making you jog towards the successful future you have envisioned for yourself. Never stop achieving, dreaming, and pursing the best version of Dan Sims. I think you’re amazing just the way you are and I have your back through anything. I am proud of you and I love you.

  2. Hi Dan, I agree with what you point out about reading but not managing to put into practise all those good points you learned about. This has been a challenge for me that I have overcome and these days, I apply what I have learned, and improve my life permanently before moving on to the next great idea.
